Discovery calls are typically brief and focused, usually lasting about 15–20 minutes. The goal is not to cover every detail, but to understand your situation well enough to identify the most helpful next step.

No preparation is required. Many people come to the call without having all the answers—and that’s perfectly okay. The call is simply a conversation about what’s been going on and what you’re hoping to accomplish.

No. Legal advice is not provided during a discovery call. This conversation is designed to gather background information, answer high-level questions, and explain what a consultation would involve if you choose to move forward.

No. There is no obligation to proceed. The discovery call is meant to help you decide whether working with our firm feels like the right fit for you.

Discovery calls are typically handled by our client care coordinator who is trained to listen carefully and understand what you’re facing. If the next step is a consultation, you will then meet directly with attorney Kristen Mackintosh.

If it appears that our firm may be able to help, we will explain the recommended next step—usually a consultation—and how to schedule it. You are free to take time to decide whether you’d like to move forward.
